Kindergarten Play Day- Friday, June 24th

We will be having our Kindergarten Fun day on Friday, June 24th.  This will include activities both inside and outside. To ensure that the day runs smoothly, we ask that your child is prepared with the following items.

1) Bathing suit underneath their clothes. Please ensure that they know how to get them on or off.
2) Sunscreen already applied. ( We cannot administer sunscreen on children)
3) Towel
4) A plastic bag with underwear and shorts.
5) water bottle
6) sunhat

Library and Snuggle Bag Books...

        As our school year is coming to an end we are beginning to collect items that belong to the school.  Visits to the Learning Commons has come to an end and Mrs. Baker is kindly asking parents to send all Library books back to school.  On that same note, Snuggle Bags have also come to an end.  If any little readers are still at home, can you please send them back to school so that they can be put to use again next year.  Duotangs will be sent home come the end of the year in case there is interest to keep track of reading over the summer.

Our Agenda for June

We cannot simply believe how fast this year has past and how it is now quickly drawing it an end! We would like to simply remind you of the following things and upcoming days and activities in our school and classroom.

1) Outdoor Play: With the hot weather upon us, we simply ask to ensure that your child has a water bottle with him/her to fill up to keep hydrated. We ask that sunscreen be put on your child in the morning as we are not permitted to be helping your child with putting this on. We also ask to ensure that your child has appropriate footwear as we do play outside and in Griffin's Grove daily.

Freezies:    Freezies are for sale for the next two Wednesdays ( June 1st, 8th, & 15th)\ to help support the Gr.6's with their year end funding. Regular size freezies are 25 cents each.

Yearbook: There will be 2015-2016 St. Gabriel Catholic School Yearbook this year. The cost is $20. An order form will be sent home. You can pay by cheque, cash or using school on-line payment.

 Year End BBQ:  St. Gabriel's School BBQ is on June 16th starting at 5pm. The BBQ will happen rain or shine! The admission is $5 per child. Parents are for free. Hamburgers, Hotdogs, Veggie Burgers, French Fries and Drinks will be provided. There will be inflatable rides from Runamok, visitors from the Zoo Crew, games and more. There will also be a fund for the Hanna family. Bring change to dunk your favorite teacher. There will be limited tickets available at the door. Pay for tickets online by June 10th using cash online. 

PD Day: This Friday- June 10th is a PD day. There will no school for students. 

Kindergarten Fun Day:  We will be doing an outdoor fun day on Friday, June 24th. More information will be posted closer to.

Last Day of School: June 29th with report cards going home June 28th.
